Heritage Zone; part market stall, part museum, this work invites audiences to engage in an ongoing dialogue with artist and former Mayoral candidate Katie Sfetkidis about the intertwining themes of heritage and development at the Queen Victoria Market Site. This project delves into the rich history of public protests that have unfolded at this location. Situated atop a colonial cemetery, which itself rests upon a repository of native seeds, it prompts us to ponder: What exactly are we endeavoring to preserve?
